• Debate participation and scoring: your debate scores (as speaker or judge), attendance, speaker rankings, and role history are recorded.
• Topic voting: your votes in debate topic selections are stored to personalize session planning and analyze preferences.
• Usage metadata: timestamps of logins, role preferences, and optionally provided data like judging confidence and language skills.

Purpose and legal basis

Your data is processed to manage user accounts, assign debate roles, track performance, and improve community operations. Legal bases include:

• Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – contract performance (account management and event participation),
• Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests (improving platform quality, ensuring fair matchups, enabling communication).

Retention

Data is stored while your account is active and required for club operations. You may request deletion at any time. Unconfirmed registrations are deleted after a reasonable period.

User rights

Security measures

Passwords are hashed securely. Communication with the server is encrypted. Access is restricted to authorized administrators. Data minimization is practiced to reduce risk.
